Happy 4th of July or as we should really call it t Happy 4th of July or as we should really call it this year: America’s 250th birthday!

Here’s a story I love because it connects history, investing, and legacy!

Rosie Rios, former U.S. Treasurer, has played a key role in shaping the official 250th anniversary celebrations. But she also has a long-standing friendship with investor Warren Buffett, and their gift exchanges over the years tell a beautiful story about value beyond numbers.

One of those gifts? A special $50 bill.

Not just any note! But one printed with the serial number “1965,” the year Buffett took control of Berkshire Hathaway, and signed by Rosie Rios herself while she was serving as Treasurer.

A simple piece of currency… turned into a symbol of timing, legacy, and ownership.

Because investing is rarely just about money.
It’s about context.
It’s about history.
And it’s about what you choose to hold onto long enough for it to compound.

So today isn’t just a celebration of a country.
It’s a reminder that the most powerful investments often carry a story worth remembering.

Happy Independence Day 🇺🇸

Everyone is chasing the next hot stock. AI. Space Everyone is chasing the next hot stock.

AI. Space. The latest trend everyone is talking about.

But what if you're looking in the wrong place?

One of my clients works with parts for chicken farms. Not exactly the industry making headlines, but she knows that business inside out. She understands which companies create real value because she sees it every single day.

That's an investing advantage most people completely overlook.
Before you invest in something you barely understand because it's trending, ask yourself:
✨ What industry do I already know?
✨ What companies do I interact with through my work?
✨ What products or services do I trust because I've seen them deliver value firsthand?

The best investment ideas often aren't the loudest, instead they're the ones hiding in your own everyday experience.

Warren Buffett calls it staying within your "circle of competence."

👇 What's one industry you know better than most people?

“I know what I have. I don't know what I'll get.” “I know what I have. I don't know what I'll get.” Mette, 50.

Like so many women, Mette kept her money in a savings account because it felt safe. Investing in stocks wasn't part of her world. No one around her talked about stocks, and no one taught her how money could compound.

But when her son wanted to invest the money he received at his communion, her maternal instinct kicked in. She didn't want him to gamble; she wanted him to be able to make investment descisions. So she made a choice: “Before he puts a single dollar into anything, I need to understand this myself.”

So she invested in my RISE-program.

Fast forward to today: Mette is now the go-to person in her family for stock market questions. She went from feeling excluded from the financial world to being the one who guides her children through it.

Most women weren't invited into this world not because they lacked the intelligence, but because the door was never opened. But that changes the moment you decide it’s your turn.

The numbers don’t lie, but they can deceive. 📉 Mo The numbers don’t lie, but they can deceive. 📉

Most women I talk to are incredibly responsible with their money. They aren't reckless, they aren't overspending, and their bank balance looks completely fine.

But here is the silent truth: leaving your money in a traditional savings account for years because it feels "safe" is actually costing you your future freedom. Nobody is going to send you a phone notification warning you that your money is losing value. Nothing happens. And that is exactly what makes it so easy to ignore.

Investing isn't about becoming a high-risk gambler; it’s a necessary life skill to protect what you’ve already worked so hard to build.

How long has your money been sitting in the same place? 👇 Let’s talk about it in the comments.

Not because they're not smart enough. But because somewhere along the way, they were taught that money wasn't really theirs to decide about.

That changes here.

I am so grateful to have been part of this amazing evening supporting Texas Children’s Hospital and getting the opportunity to connect with such an inspiring group of leaders and changemakers.

It’s such a joy to see the partnership between the Wilder Foundation and Pin Oak Charity Horse Show come together for such a vital cause.

From the high-energy auction to hearing about the future of pediatric care, I’m leaving tonight feeling super excited about the impact we’re making together.

So proud to support the healing and hope being provided to children and families right here in Houston!
Over the past few days, I’ve been attending one of Over the past few days, I’ve been attending one of the biggest events in the investment world: Warren Buffett’s annual shareholder meeting in Omaha. While Buffett himself took a backseat this year, having passed the torch to the new CEO, Omaha remains “the place to be” for investors.
Between panel debates, presentations, and networking events, it’s been a whirlwind and truly the highlight of the year for an investment geek like me!
The Highlights:
First, a photo with my fantastic mentor, @gspier , an incredibly respected and brilliant investor.
In the photo with the blue backdrop is the famous investor Bill Ackman, whom I was lucky enough to see speak at VALUExBRK.
Also joined a wonderful networking event with my mentor Matthew Peterson (check out that view! You might also notice that we women are still a small minority here - I’m working on changing this).
And finally, a shot with investor Mohnish Pabrai.
Tomorrow, I’m joining the final Q&A with Vitaliy Katsenelson; his market insights are always second to none. I can’t wait to share all this new knowledge with my clients!
On Sunday afternoon, I’m heading to Houston for a charity gala, followed by a “mastermind” session on Monday and Tuesday with some incredibly inspiring business leaders.
For a long time, we’ve been told that “making it” For a long time, we’ve been told that “making it” means finally handing your money over to a financial advisor.

It’s a myth that many of us, myself included, once believed. We think that once we have the capital, the most responsible thing to do is find someone else to handle it. We look for a professional to take the weight off our shoulders so we can stop worrying.

But here is the conversation no one is having: research shows that 87% of financial advisors actually perform worse than the stock market.

Often, we aren’t paying for superior results; we are paying for a false sense of security. Many women find that once the papers are signed, the follow-ups become rare and the clarity stays just out of reach.

The truth is, no one will ever care about your legacy as much as you do. You don’t need a middleman to find safety in the market; you need the confidence to lead your own wealth. 🤍

On April 26th, I’m hosting a four-hour Masterclass where I’ll show you how to take back that control.

That was all one of my clients needed to boost her That was all one of my clients needed to boost her confidence as an investor. 🥰

It didn’t require us to dive deep into complex math or spend weeks scrutinizing the stock market. Quite simply, it was about her letting go of three specific habits that kept her stuck, letting her money sit idle in a savings account rather than growing in the stock market.

If you also feel like a bystander watching your friends start investing while you’re stuck in place, it’s often due to these three things:

1. You are waiting for the “perfect” time. It doesn’t exist. Waiting for the “right moment” is often just a way to stay in your comfort zone.

2. You think it’s less risky to keep your money in a savings account. Perhaps you grew up with your parents’ warnings about the savings account. And that’s how it was when they were young. But times have changed, and the fact is, your money doesn’t grow in a savings account like it did when your parents were young. It loses value day by day. You can invest with very low risk and focus on not losing money.

3. You believe you need to be a mathematical genius to start, or that there’s a secret only professionals know. There isn’t, but they’d like you to think so. And you don’t need to be a mathematician; you just need to make sensible decisions and dare to invest in your own learning.

On April 26th, I’m putting an end to the myths and secrets.

I’m hosting a four-hour Masterclass where I’ll show you exactly how to replace these outdated habits with an investment strategy. No tangled jargon. No complicated theories. Only the concrete steps you need to take to move from simply protecting your savings to truly owning your financial responsibility.

Are you ready to stop just “watching over” your money and instead let it support the life you’ve created?

I was simply sharing my journey of studying the world’s most successful investors. But I quickly realized that so many brilliant women felt like outsiders in the investment jungle. They had the success, but lacked the quiet confidence to manage their own wealth.

Investionista was born to bridge that gap and move you from feeling overwhelmed to feeling deeply grounded in your financial power.

It’s time to stop being a bystander and start owning your legacy. 🤍
